IRON MAIDEN: Rare Single Misprint Sold For Over $5,000

January 10, 2005

According to MaidenFans.com, IRON MAIDEN's famous "Twilight Zone" misprint brown 7" vinyl was recently sold on eBay for a price of $5,202.

Troopersounds.com ranks the single as the second most sought-after MAIDEN item.

A posting on the site reads: "'Twilight Zone' — brown vinyl miss press UK 1981 EMI5145 This is the big one as only a few copies exist to this day. Count yourself very fortunate to own this vinyl, as there is little chance of getting a copy if you don’t. This will easily set you back £1000 plus for a mint copy."

"Twilight Zone" was released in early March 1981 and was backed with "Wratchchild". It peaked at No. 31 on the U.K. charts.
